Lawrence County States Attorney Brady Waldrop reports that two local residents were recently sent to prison after making appearances in Lawrence County Circuit Court.
24-year-old Erica Murdock of Lawrenceville was charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Illinois Felony. She was placed on probation but violated the terms. She received 3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to be followed by 6 months of mandatory supervised release.
36-year-old James McDowell of Bridgeport was arrested for Theft, a Class 3 Illinois Felony. He was given 4 years in the IDOC to be followed by 6 months of mandatory supervised release.
