County Police investigated a crash between two motorcycles on U.S. 30 on Wednesday evening, September 18. One of the drivers fled the scene.
At approximately 7:35 P.M., Marshall County Deputies responded to the two-vehicle collision on U.S. 30 east of Queen Road.
Witnesses told county police the driver of one of the motorcycles fled the scene. Police identified that driver as Travis J. Troyer, 47, of Plymouth. He was not immediately able to be located.
The second driver was, Steven L. Troyer, 23, was at the scene with injuries. He was transported to Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment. A passenger of Travis Troyer’s motorcycle, 40-year-old Michelle L. Budka, was also transported to Memorial Hospital for assessment and treatment.
Travis Troyer was later located and transported to Plymouth Hospital.
The collision investigation is ongoing, but preliminary information is that both motorcycles traveled eastbound on U.S. 30, east of Queen Road, when one side-swiped the other. The contact destabilized both motorcycles and the one Travis Troyer was driving, with the passenger running off the roadway's south side, throwing both occupants from the bike.
Steven Troyer was thrown from his motorcycle and came to rest on the south side of the roadway. His motorcycle continued a duration down U.S. 30 before coming to rest.
Travis Troyer, of Pear Road in Plymouth, was arrested for violating Community Correction and booked into the Marshall County Jail.
