A stolen firearm was found during a traffic stop conducted by Officer Witkowski with the Plymouth Police Department.
A vehicle traveling on North Michigan Street was stopped Wednesday evening at 7:15 for expired plates.
During the investigation, the 17-year-old juvenile driver was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm that had been reported stolen out of Michigan in June of this year.
The juvenile was transported to Elkhart Juvenile Detention Center where he was housed for theft of a firearm as a level 6 felony and minor in possession of a firearm as a class A misdemeanor.
