The 12th year for the annual Taste of Shelby County is quickly approaching.
On June 5, downtown Shelbyville will be filled with food and drink specialties from across Shelby County, along with the Darrin Glessner Memorial Car/Truck and Bike Show, Music by Big Skies and For Pete’s Sake, Penny Lane Photo Bus, Barnyard Party Pals, Jump House courses, yard games, Shelby Art Gallery Association activities, America 250 art and Daughters of the American Revolution Banner promotions and a Living Statue that will be seen around the Taste of Shelby County area.
Indiana State Festival Association will be on hand with ISFA 1 - the state festival truck that features our Shelby County-sponsored cover and promotions for the entire State of Indiana.
“The Taste has become a tradition across Indiana, drawing in over 9,000 people in 2025 from not only Indiana, but Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan. Our furthest reach last year was South Carolina,” states Rachael Ackley, Executive Director.
The 12th annual event features 15 vendors, including Baked by Beth, Bourbons and Brews, Dayton’s, Flame Kissed BBQ, local King Gyros, Kona Ice, Lemon Shake Up Specialties, Mel’s Catering, Pizza Fix, P’Noy K’Bob, Queen’s Cafe and Dining, The Snack Hub, Snowie, Spegal’s Prime Cuts, and Whip It Ice Cream.
The fourth Annual Darrin Glessner Memorial Car Show will be on display from Public Square, south to Broadway Street. Registration is only $20, and the first 50 registered will receive a dash plaque. The Best of Show will receive a $500 prize, and judges have been secured from the Howard County area.
The Taste of Shelby County begins at 6:00pm and will run until 10:00pm. “There are fun events, a fantastic car show, photo opportunities, music, and surprises throughout the evening. Come down and enjoy our local artisans, food, and beverage crafters. It will be a fantastic evening to enjoy downtown Shelbyville.”
