STATEWIDE (DLC Media) - Drivers are being required to move over to allow more space for police during traffic stops. State police in Indiana are cracking down on the Move-Over or Slow-Down Law implemented last year. This Law is to provide an acceptable amount of space for police while they go through their pullover procedures._x000D_ _x000D_ Sergeant Matt Ames stressed the importance of obeying this law but also has some advice, "f you are unable to (move over) reduce your speed to 10 miles per hour... Show the common courtesy and move to the adjacent lane."_x000D_ _x000D_ The penalty for violating this law can be a level 6 felony for failing to either move to the adjacent lane or slow down to a manageable speed.
