A South Bend man was arrested Thursday afternoon after a traffic stop revealed he was driving on a suspended license.
On Thursday, August 20th, at approximately 4:52 p.m., Officer Fisher with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop at Michigan Road and Airport Road on a vehicle whose registered owner had a suspended driver's license.
The driver was identified as Ty Shaun Grundy, a 21-year-old from South Bend. Grundy's driver's license showed suspended-with-a-prior. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked for driving while suspended with a prior.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
