Ryobi Die Casting is investing in its Shelbyville facility that potentially could grow to more than 1,000 employees in 2025.
On Monday at the City of Shelbyville’s Common Council meeting, Ryobi received a 10-year tax abatement on a $6.87 million purchase of new manufacturing equipment that will include a new die cast machine.
Ryobi, with its principal office at 800 W. Mausoleum Road in Shelbyville, develops and produces state-of-the-art cast aluminum parts for the automotive industry. Ryobi is a Tier I supplier to automakers located in North America.
The project, which is expected to add three employees at an average hourly rate of $24.56, is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2024.
