The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department would like to announce that they will be conducting critical Active Shooter Training at Waldron High School.
The training will begin July 22 and continue every day through July 25. There will be a large amount of law enforcement vehicles and personnel from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. during those four days.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Department is sharing this information so to avoid any unnecessary alarm caused by the heavy law enforcement presence. In a press release, the sheriff's department also shared that it's their wish that they never need to use this training, but they want to be fully prepared to mitigate any situation that might arise.
