Detectives with the Starke County Sheriff’s Department, along with investigators with the Indiana Department of Child Services began an investigation on April 12 into an allegation of sexual abuse of a juvenile in the San Pierre area.
During the course of the investigation, several interviews were conducted and evidence was obtained by investigators.
On April 21, Starke County deputies and detectives executed a search warrant on a residence in the 14000 West block of SR 10 in San Pierre. Additional evidence linked to the alleged sexual assault was located.
As a result of the investigation, Leviathan Bobo, 32, of San Pierre, was taken into custody and transported to the Starke County Justice Center. A report was filed with the Starke County Prosecutors Office. Formal charges of Child Molesting (Level 1 felony), Child Molesting (Level 4 felony), and Incest (Level 4 felony) were filed against Bobo. He is currently being held at the Starke County Justice Center.
