Corporal Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop Wednesday morning, May 8th, at approximately 4:10 on a vehicle traveling north on Michigan Street near Plymouth Goshen Trail.
The stop was for equipment violations.
The officer was able to initiate a traffic stop on Michigan Street south of Hoham Drive and the driver was identified as Ana Sanchez-Sanchez, 35 years old of North Plum Street in Plymouth.
Ana Sanchez was detained, taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked in for operating a vehicle without obtaining a license and held on a $100 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
