A reward for information leading to the capture of an escaped Tennessee prison inmate has been issued as a multi-state manhunt continues.
$15,000 is being offered by the state of Tennessee and the U.S. Marshalls Service in the pursuit of 28-year-old Jacob Allen Morley. He escaped on Sunday, October 25th from a Tipton, Tennessee prison.
He then stole a pickup truck from a nearby farm. It was discovered abandoned in the city of Marion in southern Illinois with no sign of Morley on Tuesday, October 27th. Authorities say that they have no substantial leads as to Morley's whereabouts.
He was serving a life sentence for murder and other crimes when he escaped. Morley is described as a white male approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing about 240 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He also may be wearing glasses.
He is still considered as dangerous. Anyone who encounters Morley is urged not to approach and confront him and immediately call 911 or the nearest law enforcement agency.
Meanwhile, federal, state and local law enforcement across the Midwest remain on the alert.
