The Red Hill Unit #10 Board of Education is moving forward with a removal project at the Sumner Attendance Center.
They voted Thursday to advertise for bids for the work to be done in the former old coal room down into the boiler room in the rear of the building. After consulting with an architect, it was decided the best course of action would be for the room to be completely removed and the space filled in. This will also require the moving of a water heater and gas utility line in the vicinity. The vote to proceed made upon recommendation of the board's Building and Grounds Committee. A firm timeline for the project is undetermined.
