Following a public hearing Thursday night, the Red Hill Unit #10 Board of Education formally adopted it's 2024 tax levy of just over $3.2 million.
The levy is a 13% increase over the previous year and will help supplement the district operational funds, salaries and existing and proposed educational student programs, according to Superintendent Jakie Walker.
The board also approved the hiring of Matthew Meridith as the new Junior/Senior High school assistant principal.
He is an Olney native who currently works in the Olney (Richland County) elementary school system and was among several candidates interviewed for the position.
