The Putnam County Community Foundation is turning 40, and to celebrate, PCCF is giving away $40,000 in unrestricted funding to five local nonprofits.
As part of its Ruby Anniversary Grants Program, PCCF will award $5,000 to four nonprofits, while one will receive a $20,000 grant. The nonprofits in contention for the grants are: Beyond Homeless Inc., Family Support Services of West Central Indiana, the Greencastle Civic League, Isaiah 117 House and Putnam County CERT.
Putnam County residents will have an opportunity to vote Oct. 17 through Nov. 9 on who they believe is worthy of the $20,000 grant. Voting will take place through SurveyMonkey and each person can cast one vote per email address. The organization with the most votes will receive the $20,000 grant.
For 40 years, the Putnam County Community Foundation has been a place where generosity takes root. This anniversary grant program gives the community the chance to celebrate that legacy while shaping the future of Putnam County together," PCCF Executive Director Neysa Meyer said.
The results will be announced during the PCCF Ruby Anniversary Dinner on Nov. 15. For more information, email Sarah Stone at sstone@pcfoundation.org.
