Project DARE of Marshall County recently recognized two local students for their outstanding submissions in the program's essay contest.

Loy Viart, a student at Bremen Public Schools, and Wyatt Wildauer, a student at St. Paul's Lutheran School, were named the winners of the competition. The essay contest serves as a culminating project for students, allowing them to reflect on the valuable lessons they have learned about making safe, healthy, and responsible life choices.

In recognition of their hard work and dedication to the principles of the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program, the students were each awarded a $100 check provided by Project DARE of Marshall County.

The awards were proudly presented to the winning students by their DARE Instructor, Sergeant Matt Schnaible of the Bremen Police Department.
