Looking for a relaxing way to kick off the weekend? Potawatomi Wildlife Park is inviting families, friends, and neighbors to a Friday Night Family Fishing event this Friday, June 19th, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The free outdoor evening is designed for all ages — bring dad, grandpa, the kids, mom, or the whole crew. No registration is required, and donations are greatly appreciated.
The event centers around Pond 5, where guests can enjoy catch-and-release fishing throughout the evening. But the fun doesn't stop at the water's edge. Kayaks and canoes will be available for a 15 to 20-minute paddle on the Tippecanoe River, and a village area will be set up for guests to cook their own hot dogs and s'mores over an open fire.
Music will play throughout the evening, card games will be set up at the picnic tables, and guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and settle in around the campfire for a true outdoor experience.
Parking is available at the Visitors Center.
This Friday, June 19th, is a perfect opportunity to unplug, get outside, and enjoy a peaceful summer evening with the people you love — all at no cost.
