Plymouth Police Officer charged with OWI

No official details have been released on the alleged DUI accident involving a Plymouth Police officer last month, although Police Chief John Weir did tell WTCA that the Indiana State Police is conducting the investigation.

He also said the officer was off duty with his personal vehicle. 

WTCA was informed that Patrolman Stuart Krynock was involved in an accident on or about May 20th, during the day on Oak Drive. 

MyCase.IN.gov lists charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, endangering a person, and operating with an alcoholic concentration equivalent to .15 or more.

Stuart Krynock’s initial hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. June 25th in Marshall Superior Court II. 

WTCA contacted Mayor Robert Listenberger and asked him about the DUI charges, and he said, “I’m sorry but I can’t say anything.  This is an ongoing personnel matter.” 

When asked if Officer Krynock was currently working Chief Weir said "He is not. He's been off due to an injury."

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
