Tuesday evening the Plymouth Park Board approved partnering with the American Red Cross to use the Webster Rec Center as a blood donation center next year. The first two dates approved are February 26th and April 17th.
This change in locations for the Red Cross blood donations centers is due to security issues in the various Plymouth Community School Corporation buildings. The school corporation will permit a blood donation center at Plymouth High School because the drive is closed to school students and staff only.
The park department will not be responsible for advertising, donor attraction, or blood drive services. Those will be handled by the blood drive sponsor. The park department will only need to provide the space, tables and chairs at the Webster Rec Center.
