A 20-year-old Plymouth man was taken into custody Monday after an investigation determined he had stolen a virtual reality headset from a juvenile at the Park Jefferson Apartments.
Officer Wallace of the Plymouth Police Department was contacted around noon on Monday, September 5, regarding a theft that had occurred at the apartment complex. During the investigation, Wallace determined that Brent Ross, 20, of Plymouth, had stolen the virtual reality headset from a juvenile resident of the complex.
Detective Workman with the Plymouth Police Department recovered the stolen property and located Ross, who was taken into custody without incident.
Ross was transported to the Marshall County Jail and lodged on a pending charge of theft. He was given a court date in Marshall County Superior Court II and a $500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
