Plymouth High School Cheerleaders make history with state runner-up finish

The Plymouth High School Varsity Cheer Competition Team made program history this past weekend, earning State Runner-Up honors at the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) State Cheer Competition in the Timeout Division.

This year marked Plymouth’s first-ever appearance in the IASP Timeout Division, making their second-place finish an even more remarkable achievement. The team’s hard work, precision, and enthusiasm were on full display as they competed against some of the state's strongest programs.

“This was our first year ever attempting to qualify for the IASP Timeout Division, and to not only qualify but finish as state runner-up is an incredible accomplishment,” said Coach Langowski. “These athletes stepped into something completely new and exceeded every expectation. Their heart, determination, and pride for Plymouth showed in everything they did. Making history as first-time qualifiers and finishing as state runner-up is something they’ll never forget. Their dedication and teamwork have set a new standard for Plymouth Cheer and laid the foundation for an even stronger future.”

The team’s success at state reflects the growing strength of the Plymouth Cheer program, which has steadily built momentum through commitment, teamwork, and community support. The cheerleaders have spent countless hours perfecting routines, developing leadership skills, and representing Plymouth High School with energy and spirit at both athletic and competitive events.

The cheerleaders will now turn their attention to the UCA Hoosier Regional on November 23, where they’ll aim to qualify for Nationals and continue building on the legacy they’ve started this season.
