Plymouth High School announced on Wednesday on Facebook that Head Baseball Coach Ryan Wolfe has resigned from his position after 14 seasons at the helm of the Pilgrims baseball program. His departure closes out a 21-year coaching career marked by conference championships, all-star recognition, and a steady commitment to developing young athletes.
In a conference widely regarded as one of the most competitive in northern Indiana, Coach Wolfe guided the Plymouth program to two Northern Lakes Conference (NLC) championships — a testament to the standard he built and maintained over more than a decade leading the team.
His peers in the coaching community took notice as well. In 2025, Wolfe was selected as the North Coach for the prestigious Indiana Baseball Coaches Association North/South All-Star Game, an honor that placed him among the state's elite at the high school level.
While Wolfe is stepping away from the dugout, he isn't leaving Plymouth High School. He will continue in his role as a classroom teacher, shifting his full focus back to educating students inside the building.
Plymouth Athletic Director Josh Troyer expressed the school's gratitude for Wolfe's long run with the program. "Plymouth wishes to thank Coach Wolfe for his years of dedication and service to our baseball program," Troyer said. "We are grateful for everything he has contributed and wish him nothing but the best as he focuses on continuing to impact students in the classroom moving forward."
The search for Plymouth's next head baseball coach begins immediately. Interested candidates can apply through the Plymouth Community School Corporation website. Questions may be directed to Athletic Director Josh Troyer at jtroyer@plymouth.k12.in.us.
