Plymouth Cheerleaders place fifth in the State at HCCA Spirit State Competition

The Plymouth High School Cheerleading Team made an impressive debut at the Hoosier Cheer Coaches Association (HCCA) Spirit State Competition, earning 5th place in the state with their Game Day routine at Garfield Central High School.

This marks the team’s first year competing at the state level, making their top-five finish an extraordinary accomplishment.

 “Placing 5th in the state felt absolutely incredible, especially considering this was our very first year competing,” said Coach Brenna Langowski. “These girls have worked so hard and poured their hearts into every practice, every performance, and every moment leading up to Game Day State. To see all of that hard work pay off at such a high level is truly rewarding and tear-jerking—literally.”

Coach Langowski credits the team’s success to their strong bond and shared commitment to representing Plymouth with pride.

“What keeps the girls motivated is their love for the program and for each other,” Langowski added. “They’ve built a strong bond this season, and they take a lot of pride in showing what our cheer program is capable of. Even on the toughest days, they show up ready to work and push themselves to be better.”

The team now turns its focus to the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) Time Out State Competition this weekend at New Castle High School, continuing to build on its momentum.

“We’re already talking about how to strengthen our routine, increase difficulty, and prepare for future competitions—including the possibility of Nationals,” said Coach Langowski. “I couldn’t be prouder of this team. They’ve set the bar high, not just for performance but for character, leadership, and heart.”
