Plymouth High School has announced Adam Foust as its next Head Baseball Coach, pending board approval — and for Foust, the role is deeply personal.

A 2003 Plymouth High School graduate, Foust is coming home. As a Pilgrim student-athlete, he was a three-year varsity starter as a pitcher and outfielder, earned Northern Lakes Conference honors twice, and was part of multiple conference and sectional championship teams. He was also a member of the 2002 regional championship team that advanced to the Final Four.

After graduating from Plymouth, Foust attended Indiana University Bloomington, earning a bachelor's degree in Health Administration, before going on to earn his Master of Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis. He has spent the past eight years as Director of Operations at J&K HVAC Service, Inc.

Though his professional career took him outside of baseball, Foust never left the game. He has served on the Plymouth Junior League Baseball board for three years, currently serving as treasurer and travel baseball commissioner, and has coached youth teams at the 8U, 9U, and 10U levels.

"I am humbled to be named just the fourth head coach in the last 60 years of Plymouth baseball," Foust said. "We have a long history of winning baseball, and I look forward to getting started and building on that tradition."

Plymouth Athletic Director Ryan Welch expressed enthusiasm about the hire. "Adding Coach Foust to our staff to lead Plymouth Baseball's next generation is an immediate win," Welch said. "He brings a passion for winning and an understanding of baseball that will lead to success on the field. I'm excited to see Adam lead our program for the foreseeable future."

Foust and his wife Katherine — a 2002 Plymouth High School graduate — reside in the Plymouth community with their two children, Vayda, 13, and Elliot, 11.
