PATHS welcomes Nicole Medich Johnson as Director of Special Education

PATHS (Plymouth Argos Triton Helping Students) has announced the appointment of Nicole Medich Johnson as the new Director of Special Education. With nearly 30 years of dedicated service in education, Nicole brings valuable experience to her new role.

Nicole Medich Johnson has excelled in various roles throughout her career, including serving as a Kindergarten Literacy Coordinator, Reading Specialist, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director of School Learning for School Turnaround. Her background in curriculum development, literacy coordination, and school administration has consistently earned her Highly Qualified designation in teaching and leadership roles. Nicole’s background demonstrates a commitment to improving student outcomes through data-driven instruction, school improvement initiatives, and collaboration with academic teams.

Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Ball State University, a master’s degree in education from Indiana University South Bend, and an M+27 with a K-12 Administrative License. Additionally, she has completed the National Principal Supervisory Academy certification through AASA/CEL.

Throughout her career, Johnson has been deeply involved in creating inclusive learning environments and ensuring compliance with educational laws and policies. Her leadership roles in her previous district include Principal of Lincoln Primary Center, Principal of LaSalle Academy, and most recently, Director of School Learning/School Turnaround. In her latest role, she worked closely with educators to implement strategies that improved academic performance and supported student success.

In addition to her professional background, Nicole has contributed to numerous committees and professional development initiatives, including MTSS Training, Actional Feedback PD, and Indiana Literacy Cadre coaching. Her dedication to improving student achievement aligns perfectly with PATH’s commitment to providing high-quality education for students.
