Residents in Plymouth near Oakhill Cemetery should not be alarmed if they hear a brief warning siren this Thursday morning. According to the Marshall County EMA Director Jack Garner, the Marshall County Sheriff's Department Dispatch and the Plymouth Fire Department will be conducting a test of the outdoor warning siren at that location.

The test is scheduled to take place sometime between 9:00 a.m. and noon, weather permitting, and will consist of a 30-second alert tone.

Officials say the test is part of a broader effort to evaluate the county's emergency alert capabilities. Marshall County intends to begin regular siren testing in the near future, and Thursday's exercise will help assess current system performance and identify any areas for improvement.
