Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Midwestern Electric, Inc. plans to conduct a series of single lane closures along Interstate 65 beginning on or after Monday to install seven dynamic message (DMS) boards along I-65 throughout Johnson, Bartholomew, Jackson, Scott, and Clark counties.
Crews will work and are scheduled to conduct each overnight lane closure from approximately 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day. Work will take place along I-65 for up to two weeks, weather permitting.
The nighttime lane closures are currently scheduled as follows:
_x000D_ Monday, April 1 (weather permitting): Right lane closure along southbound I-65 at mile marker 92.6 in Johnson County (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)._x000D_ Tuesday, April 2 (weather permitting): Right lane closure along southbound I-65 at mile marker 79 in Bartholomew County (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)._x000D_ Wednesday, April 3 (weather permitting): Right lane closure along northbound I-65 at mile marker 71.3 in Bartholomew County (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)._x000D_ Thursday, April 4 (weather permitting): Right lane closure along southbound I-65 at mile marker 52.3 in Bartholomew County (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)._x000D_ Tuesday, April 9 (weather permitting): Right lane closure along southbound I-65 at mile marker 31.2 in Scott County (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)._x000D_ Wednesday, April 10 (weather permitting): Right lane closure along northbound I-65 at mile marker 26.5 in Scott County (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)._x000D_ Thursday, April 11 (weather permitting): Right lane closure along southbound I-65 at mile marker 21.4 in Clark County (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)._x000D_This work is part of a $6.5 million contract awarded to Midwestern Electric in March 2022. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones.
