The Second Judicial Circuit has a new judge. Denton Aud was officially sworn in as the latest Associate Judge Tuesday at ceremonies in Carmi down in White County. Aud was formerly the White County States Attorney before being picked by a majority of the circuit judges to fill the vacancy left by the December retirement of Mark Shaner. Aud was given the oath of office by White County resident judge T Scott Webb in a crowded White County courtroom full of family, friends and collegues.
