Multiple buildings are set to be torn down in 2024, according to the Vigo County Commissioners.
Anywhere between 30 and 40 properties will have demolitions. These structures are all considered to be blighted. The overall feeling towards this project is positive, particularly with those who live near one of these dilapidated buildings. Before any of the buildings can be taken down, the proper legal steps need to be taken.
The goal of this project is to make properties more suitable for those who would like to buy land in Vigo County. With the buildings being demolished, not only is an eye-sore eliminated, but the first step for a property buyer has already been done at no extra cost.
