Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Friday at about 6:15 p.m. on Western Avenue north of North Street. The traffic stop was for driving at 47 mph in a 35 mph zone.
Navidad Mejia Rosales, 36, of West Jackson Street in Plymouth, was identified as the driver. During the stop, it was determined that Mejia Rosales had never had a driver's license. Dispatch then advised that she had an active arrest warrant.
Mejia Rosales was taken into custody, transported to Marshall County Jail, booked in for operator never licensed, and an out-of-state hold.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
