The Marshall County Commissioners approved a temporary move of the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District due to the federal government shutdown.
During Monday’s commissioner meeting, Jodi Overmyer, District Coordinator of Marshall County Soil and Water, informed the commissioners that she works out of the USDA office located at 29-3 Gary Drive in Plymouth. Due to the federal government shutdown, the offices are currently closed.

Overmyer spoke with Marshall County Purdue Extension, asking if they had space for her to use during the shutdown, and they did. Making that move requires the approval of the county commissioners.
Marshall County Soil and Water will temporarily relocate to the third floor of the County Building until the federal government shutdown is resolved. To contact them, email www.info@marshallcountyswcd.org.
