Marshall County Treasurer Wendy Tapia has announced that the 2025 payable 2026 property tax bills will be mailed out to residents this week. Taxpayers should keep an eye on their mailboxes and prepare for the upcoming spring payment deadline.
The deadline to pay the spring installment is Monday, May 11. Payments can be made in person at the Marshall County Treasurer’s Office, located at 112 W. Jefferson Street, Room 206, in Plymouth.
Regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To accommodate residents' schedules as the deadline nears, the Treasurer’s Office will offer extended hours during the final days of the collection period:
- Thursday, May 7: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 9: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and
- Monday, May 11 (Due Date): 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
For added convenience, taxpayers who wish to drop off their payments outside of regular business hours or avoid waiting in line can utilize the county's secure drop boxes. A drop box is located at the south end of the County Building, and additional boxes are available inside the double doors at each end of the facility.
Treasurer Tapia strongly reminds residents that cash should not be placed in the drop boxes. Drop box payments should be made by check or money order only.
Taxpayers are urged to ensure their payments are submitted by the May 11 deadline, as any payments received after this date will incur late penalties.
