Marshall County EMA Director, Jack Garner, has provided an advanced notice that the snow is about to pick up once again.
The lake-effect band is swinging back toward Marshall County from the west and will slide over the county in the next hour or two. Areas just to the west of Marshall County are currently receiving snow and experiencing near-whiteout conditions with 1 to 2 inches per hour of snowfall. Travel underneath this snow band will be extremely hazardous, especially in the northern and western halves of the county.
While it may be sunny right now, and some roads may look clear, the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center is still getting several slide-off calls this afternoon due to black ice, especially on highways. DRIVE SLOW!!! The Travel Advisory in Marshall County remains active.
