It's that time of year when years of hard work and studying will pay off for students at Marian University’s Ancilla College. During the Friday, May 3, commencement ceremony, 59 students - 15% of which are 21st Century Scholars - will graduate with their associate degrees.
Marian University’s Ancilla College 2024 undergraduate commencement is this Friday with the Commencement Mass at 2:30 p.m. and the Undergraduate commencement ceremony at 5.
The keynote speaker for the commencement address will be given by Mark Senter, former mayor of Plymouth, who will receive an honorary Doctor of Public Service degree. Sister Shirley Bell of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ will receive an honorary Doctor of Education degree and David and Ginny Gibson will receive honorary Doctor of Philanthropy degrees. David Gibson was a longstanding member of the Ancilla Board of Trustees, and he and his wife Ginny created a scholarship for Ancilla students.
