Lawrence County States Attorney Brady Waldrop has announced the sentencing of a Lawrenceville man in court late last week.
Friday, 45 year old Elgin Jones Jr. was given 4 1/2 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Illinois Felony.
He had previously been placed on 18 months of felony probation.
In addition to the sentence, Jones will also be on up to 6 months of mandatory supervised release once his prison term is completed.
