Lincoln Trail College (LTC) at Robinson, Illinois has received a $100,000 grant from Marathon Petroleum Corporation to help financially support the construction of its new Technology Center. The state-of-the-art facility will house the college's Process Technology, Broadband Telcom, and Welding programs.
LTC President Tona Ambrose says the generous investment is a tremendous boost for LTC and its students as it will allow students to get access to modern laboratories, simulation equipment, and classrooms that will reflect the work environments they will encounter in their career fields.
The grant comes from the community investment program at the company's Robinson Refinery, which looks to enhance organizations and initiatives that make a positive impact on the LTC community.
