Operation Green Light for Veterans is a nationwide initiative where communities show support for veterans by displaying a green light at their homes or businesses from November 4th through the 11th. It's a symbolic gesture to let veterans know they are appreciated and to highlight the resources available to them. The initiative is supported by organizations like the National Association of Counties (NACo).
Last month, the Marshall County Commissioners approved support for county veterans with participation in Operation Green Light. The county's maintenance department will change the lights on the courthouse clock tower to green in support of veterans from November 4th through the 11th.
The County Commissioners unanimously approved the request.
