Calling all LEGO fans!
Help us restock the shelves of the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry as we celebrate the 68th anniversary of the LEGO Building Block, which was introduced on January 28, 1958.
The annual LEGO Birthday Bash! will be held on Sunday, February 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Putnam County Museum, 1105 North Jackson Street in Greencastle.
Enjoy amazing creations and displays from the brick artists and engineers of the Indiana LEGO® Users Group (IndyLUG), as well as collections from some of our local LEGO® fans. Displays scheduled include LEGO® City townscapes, an aquarium, winter-scape, lighthouse, as well as planes, trains and automobiles! Some of the MOC’s (My Own Creations) that will be in attendance include a Wild Wild Western village, the home from Little House on the Prairie, Independence Hall, and possibly scenes from Indiana Jones.
In addition, soccer fields and basketball courts from the LEGO® Sports Collection will be available for play. The event will include a silent auction for LEGO® Marvel Infinity Saga – Avengers Helicarrier, special LEGO® mini-figures and bricks.
Hosted by the Putnam County Museum, and sponsored by Humphrey’s Outdoor Power, Prime Real Estate, DePauw University Bonner Scholars, Lost Hollow Beer Company, Marvin’s Restaurant, Pacific & Eastern Model Railroad Club, Walmart Distribution Center 6022, IndyLUG and Brickworld, this special event will be held as a LEGO® Fans Food Drive for Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry.
Admission is one (1) non-perishable food item or donation per person.
