Lawrence County Memorial Hospital (LCMH) in Lawrenceville has announced the beginning of its transition to Epic, one of the nation's leading electronic medical records systems.
Hospital officials say the implementation of Epic will improve hospital communications, coordination of care, patient safety, and access to information across the entire healthcare system. Patients at LCMH will also benefit from enhanced access to their health information through MyChart, Epic's patient portal.
Epic is used by many of the nation's leading hospitals and health systems and the transition will help the hospital better align itself with regional health partners and referral providers. The implementation process will continue over the coming months, with a planned go-live date of October 18th of 2026.
