Lawrenceville Police Chief Jim White has released his departmental activity report for the month of June 2026.
Lawrenceville Police handled 350 requests for an officer during the month. They dealt with 11 domestic interventions, 5 mental health incidents and 6 cases of child abuse and neglect.
Officers were involved in 18 drug investigations, 11 assault and battery investigations and 2 cases each of burglary and vandalism. They also investigated 6 total cases of theft along with 2 stolen vehicles.
There were 16 felony arrests made in June along with 13 misdemeanor arrests and a single juvenile arrest. Officers also issued 12 ordinance violations.
Lawrenceville police also checked out 8 traffic accidents during the month. Seven of those were property damage accidents and the other was a case of hit-and-run.
The department also assisted the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department and the Illinois State Police 6 times in June and emergency fire and medical personnel 3 time and the general public 9 times.
