McRib fans, the wait is over. The iconic sandwich will return to McDonald’s restaurants on Dec. 3 for a limited time only.
But this is far from your typical comeback. For the first time ever, McDonald’s is giving fans an even bigger way to celebrate the return of the McRib. McDonald's offers hardcore fans half-gallon jugs of its signature, tangy McRib sauce. Fans can snag a jug starting Monday at 10 a.m., at www.wholelottamcribsauce.com while supplies last.
The McRib made its debut in the United States in 1981 as a limited-time item in the Kansas City area. It quickly became a fan-favorite thanks to the unmistakable flavor of the seasoned boneless pork patty slathered in BBQ sauce and topped with slivered onions and tart dill pickles, all on a homestyle bun.
The McRib has become a seasonal sensation, captivating fans with its limited availability, sparking social media buzz, and igniting a flurry of anticipation each time it makes its triumphant return to McDonald's restaurants. Its reemergence on the menu has consistently resulted in long lines and enthusiastic outpourings on social media platforms from devoted fans, excited to savor its irresistible flavors once again.
The McRib is available starting Dec. 3 at participating restaurants for a limited time. Fans can also order a McRib via the McDonald’s app. It is available for download in the Apple App Store and the Android Google Play Store. With the McDonald’s app, customers get access to exclusive deals, they can order ahead and pass the line with Mobile Order & Pay, plus they can join MyMcDonald’s Rewards to earn points on every order to redeem for free McDonald's.
