A Greenfield man is charged with multiple counts of child exploitation and solicitation.
Joseph Wortman, 33, was arrested for eight counts of Child Exploitation, a Level 4 felony and two counts of Child Solicitation, a Level 5 Felony.
Wortman was investigated by the Hamilton County Metro ICAC Task Force after receiving multiple cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. During the course of the investigation, detectives served a search warrant at Wortman’s residence where multiple digital devices were seized that contained evidence of possession of child sexual abuse material.
Wortman is currently being held without bond at the Hancock County Jail on multiple charges including Child Exploitation with/an aggravating factor, a Level 4 felony (eight counts) and Child Solicitation, a Level 5 Felony (two counts).
The task force is headquartered in the Fishers Police Department. The task force is comprised of detectives from Greenfield, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Noblesville, Hamilton County Sheriff, and the Department of Homeland Security. The task force focuses on internet crimes against children and investigates child exploitation cases in Hamilton, Hancock, Madison, and Tipton counties.
