A criminal investigation by the Putnamville State Police Police Criminal Division has led to the arrest of a Greencastle man for public nudity.
Ernest J. Trumpold, 55, of Greencastle, Indiana, on two counts of Public Nudity, a Class B Misdemeanor.
Master Trooper Detective Ryan Winters of the Putnamville State Police Post was contacted by several residents near the 400 block of Manhattan Road about a male being nude in public. During the criminal investigation, it was discovered that Trumpold had publicly exposed himself nude, being seen by both adults and children.
The Putnam County Prosecutor's Office filed two public nudity charges against Trumpold on March 31. They are Class B misdemeanors.
The defendant was arrested on an active warrant without incident and taken to the Putnam County Jail, where he later posted bond.
