A Putnam County man has been arrested in connection with a fight and shooting in Decatur County..
About 4:00 a.m. on April 27, the Greensburg Police responded to the address of 1008 East North Street for the report of a male that had been injured by a gun shot.
Investigative information and evidence provided that Gregory D. Trimble, 22, of Greencastle, had came to the victim’s house where a physical altercation ensued and as a result, the victim was shot.
No further word on the victim's name or condition was released.
According to a release from local authorities the Greensburg Police Criminal Investigations Unit diligently pursued all available evidence and leads in this investigation. With the assistance of other law enforcement agencies, Trimble was placed in custody on Thursday. He was located and arrested in Kentucky where he had an additional warrant for his arrest.
