The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office announced that during this year’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day they collected over 320 pounds of unused, unwanted, and expired medications.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office noted by turning in these medications residents are helping on multiple fronts including:
Preventing prescription drug abuse and theft
Protecting children, families, and neighbors
Keeping waterways and environment clean
If you still have unwanted medications, there is a 24 / 7 dropbox available in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office, 2006 Sweetgum Rd., Rochester. Items may be dropped off with no questions asked.
