The festivities begin at 5 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m.
The weather will be perfect in downtown Greencastle tonight for the first ever Frost Friday event downtown.
The event will feature Santa and his elves, extended store hours for downtown merchants and local vendors, as well as carolers singing Christmas carols. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m.
There will also be an Art and Artisan Pop-Up Sale at The Bodega, 16 South Jackson St., Greencastle, Cocktails and Candy Canes at Blushing Beaus, 8 West Washington St., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and other attractions.
"Frost Friday was born in an effort to support and uplift our community, especially during the holiday spirit," said Madison Hanna, executive director of the Putnam County Chamber.
Hanna said the event will look to bring the spirit of First Friday events to Greencastle during the winter.
"First Friday brings visitors and locals out to support local businesses, gather as a community and enjoy our downtown Greencastle square. First Friday tends to be well attended for the businesses surrounding the event, and with all the stress and issues the construction has caused over the last year, the least we could do is provide folks with another opportunity to get out and support downtown Greencastle," Hanna told The Putnam County Post.
