Freeze Warning Issued for Marshall County Early Saturday Morning
Residents should prepare for a chilly start to the weekend, as the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has placed Marshall County under a Freeze Warning for early Saturday morning.
The warning will be in effect from 2:00 a.m. EDT to 9:00 a.m. EDT on Saturday.
According to forecasters, sub-freezing temperatures are expected to drop as low as 30 degrees. The warning area encompasses portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and northwest Ohio.
Weather officials warn that the impending frost and freeze conditions could be lethal to crops and other sensitive vegetation. Additionally, unprotected outdoor plumbing may be susceptible to damage from the freezing temperatures. Residents are strongly advised to take precautionary steps immediately to protect tender plants from the cold.
While incoming cloud cover could potentially impact exactly how far temperatures fall overnight, meteorologists indicate that temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark before the clouds arrive.
