A Fort Wayne man arrested earlier in the week after allegedly being found camping out on someone's property in Culver is back in custody.
Michael E. Anderson, 62, of Fort Wayne, was arrested Thursday afternoon on a preliminary charge of public intoxication. He was taken into custody at Walmart, 2395 Main St., after a store manager reported that he was sitting under a tarp refusing to leave or answer employees.
Police records indicate that Anderson was extremely intoxicated at the time of his arrest. He was subsequently transported to Woodlawn Hospital for medical clearance prior to being booked without bond at the Fulton County Jail.
Anderson was previously taken into custody Monday night at 10895 W. 800 North, Culver, after property owner Cindy Good reported that a man was on her property with a tarp. He was reportedly set up in a tree line.
Anderson faces charges of refusal to identify, disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement and public intoxication from that incident. He had been released on his own recognizance.
