Duke Energy Power of Giving to benefit Knox County United Way

A check presentation to the United Way will be made at the Edwardsport Plant on Thursday.

Duke Energy will present a large check to United Way of Knox County on Thursday.

Contractors and vendors at the Edwardsport IGCC Station made donations to the Silent Auction Fundraising Event in September which raised $23,334 for Knox County United Way. A check presentation to the United Way will be made at the Edwardsport Plant on Thursday.

This year, the Duke Energy Power of Giving Campaign aims to help employees be a good neighbor in one of three easy ways: donating to a cause of their choice, attending/participating in a Power of Giving event (Edwardsport IGCC Silent Auction) or completing at least one activity in the Power of Giving challenge.

Duke Energy continues to encourage employees to support nonprofits whose missions align with our business priorities, including climate resiliency, diversity, equity and inclusion and vibrant economies. Duke Energy also continues to use fundraising events to feature our strategic partner organizations - United Way, Arts Wave and the Arts and Sciences Council.
