Terre Haute, In. – On Monday April 8th Terre Haute will be in the path of a total eclipse of the sun. This is a once in lifetime event. To celebrate the eclipse a downtown festival is being planned and the public is invited. Beginning at 11am Wabash Avenue from 6th to 9th Street will be closed for the festival. There will be limited seating provided so bring a lawn chair. A partnership between West Central Indiana, the Terre Haute Children’s Museum and Downtown Terre Haute will provide plenty of fun activities and opportunities to learn about the eclipse. Other activities planned include live bands, a DJ, an eclipse countdown clock, a beer garden, craft vendors, food trucks and kids activities.
