A 55-year-old man was arrested Saturday afternoon after a routine traffic stop revealed he had never obtained a valid driver's license.
According to a news release from Deputy Truty of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, a Marshall County officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on Jefferson Street near Fifth Street at approximately 4:28 p.m. on Saturday, May 9th.
During the investigation, the officer determined that the driver, identified as Alejandro J. Perez Villasmil, 55, of East Jefferson Street in Plymouth, did not possess a valid driver's license. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license. He is being held on a $100 bond.
